  1. This is a very serious program designed to help the low income children of Beacon, whom you so regularly neglect to mention. This is not about "Kids eat free meals and families save money." SAVING MONEY!!! Beacon has a huge under served population, crime, gangs, section 8 housing and a large drug problem. Your light hearted approach to child hunger is a disgrace to the truth of Beacon. Shopping on Main St. also includes drug sales.

  2. Hello Susan,
Child hunger is a serious issue wherever it strikes. Your stinging negativity does not help the problem, especially on a blog post that is spreading awareness about a program aimed to help hungry children.

The information published here was published on a flyer given to me by a person asking for my help to spread awareness. The verbiage that you quote is from a flyer you can see around town. Being that the issue is child hunger, and the rising cost of groceries causing unease among all of us, I see no harm in a light hearted approach.

It is shocking that you have used your energies in what I can only assume is for good, in this manner. Do not perpetuate this non helpful behavior here in this space.
